When Eileen Applebaum and Brownlee Currey teamed up to launch Threads Soft Goods, the design world took notice. This is a brand built around gorgeous prints and patterns, with pillows so stunning you will want to fill your entire home with them. Many are crafted in India, while others are vintage or one-of-a-kind finds, meaning every purchase feels like discovering a small treasure. Buy one of these pillows and you are getting something artisanal, often exclusive, since so many pieces are made in limited runs or exist as true one offs from the vintage line. What I love most is the sustainability story woven right into the brand's DNA, with the vintage collection working hand-in-hand with their in stock pieces to create something that feels intentional and lasting. It is a genuine success story, and proof that when you chase what you love, beautiful things follow.

Birdsong Pillow
Lyrical and richly layered, Birdsong captures a moment of pure vitality. A radiant bird in flight above a lush garden in full bloom. The design unfolds through a masterful interplay of techniques: first printed on raw silk, then brought to life with delicate embroidery, metallic beadwork, and softly shimmering sequins.
A natural raffia tail extends from the bird, adding movement and dimension, swaying gently as if caught mid-flight. The artistry continues beyond the front: turn the pillow over to discover butterflies dancing across the back, an unexpected detail that completes the story.

Opal Pillow
Luminous and refined, Opal reimagines Art Deco geometry through a softly radiant lens. A rhythmic, era-inspired pattern is rendered in lustrous bugle beads, their light-catching surfaces echoing the subtle iridescence of opals themselves. The contrast between precise Deco structure and organic texture gives Opal its quiet drama: graphic yet delicate, ornamental yet grounded.
Cusco Throw
Woven in Peru from the finest alpaca fibers, this extraordinary throw celebrates the beauty of nature in its purest form. Rather than relying on dyes, the design showcases four distinct shades of alpaca fleece in their natural, undyed colors…from creamy ivory to rich, earthy tones.
Finished with playful hand-tied tassels at the end of the throw, this throw brings character to any room.
Vintage Kantha Quilts
Among our most treasured pieces are our vintage Kantha quilts, handcrafted from layers of repurposed textiles and stitched entirely by hand. Traditionally, women gather together in circles, sewing thousands upon thousands of small running stitches that transform worn fabrics into something beautiful and new.
No two quilts are ever alike. Each carries the marks of its makers, the subtle variations, colors, and patterns that tell a story of resourcefulness, community, and generations of craftsmanship.

Threads Soft Goods grew from a lifelong passion for textiles and a belief that handmade objects carry stories worth preserving.
The journey began four years ago with one-of-a-kind vintage pillows, created from textiles collected over decades of travel and sourcing throughout the world. Two years ago, that vision expanded when textile enthusiast Eileen Applebaum joined forces with Brownlee Currey to form Threads Soft Goods.
Together, they brought complementary strengths to the business: Eileen's deep knowledge of handmade textiles and global craft traditions, paired with Brownlee's extensive experience serving the interior design trade. Their partnership created the foundation for a brand built on authenticity, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design.
Soon after, Julia McCabe joined the team, bringing expertise in marketing, social media, design, and brand storytelling. The combination of creative vision, industry knowledge, and entrepreneurial energy has helped shape Threads Soft Goods into what it is today.
While our stocked collection has become the engine of the business, allowing designers access to handcrafted pieces with dependable availability, our vintage and one-of-a-kind collection remains the heart and soul of the brand.
