Creative Color Inspiration from Paris

This week in Paris at MAISON&OBJET and while exploring the city’s incredible retail scene, I have been surrounded by an atmosphere of upbeat creativity and vibrant color stories. Everywhere I look, there is an energy that feels optimistic and full of artistic play.

The overarching theme is one of fun and expression, with bold color combinations, geometric stripes, and organic pattern play emerging across every category. Designers are clearly embracing the joy of experimentation, blending structure and spontaneity in unexpected ways.

The materials and finishes are just as inspiring as the color palettes themselves. I have seen everything from organic wax candles and ceramic tabletop pieces to woven textiles, printed bedding, glassware, and even clocks, all infused with this expressive spirit.

One standout product that caught my attention comes from a German brand called “not the girl who misses much.” They create sustainable candles in bright, meaningful color combinations, each one tied to a different aspect of life, making them thoughtful gifts as well as beautiful decorative accents. Every candle is handcrafted from solid-colored vegetable wax, and they are paraffin free, vegan, and eco-friendly. You can explore more of their collection here.

I am especially drawn to the way geometric patterns are being mixed with joyful, saturated hues, creating designs that feel both fresh and full of personality. There is a clear sense of optimism and imagination in the air — a reminder of how color and pattern can transform not only spaces but also our moods.

Paris continues to be an endless source of inspiration, and this week’s creative color moments have been nothing short of energizing.
