Inspired Interiors: DE-COR’s Artisan Aesthetic
Walking into DE-COR in Pasadena felt like stepping into ABC Carpet circa 25 years ago—that same magical feeling of being surrounded by the newest, most thoughtful creations in design. It was as if I’d walked into a mood board brought to life. ✨
Founder Deepali Pareek and Sales Director Richardo Chavez Jr. were incredibly generous with their time, sharing the story and aesthetic behind their stunning 7,000 square foot space. What they’ve curated is nothing short of inspiring—a blend of hard and soft home décor elements that speak to craftsmanship, sustainability, and soul.
From authentic fabrics made by artisans in India to upcycled teak wood pieces adorned with intricate carvings, each item is truly one of a kind. The displays throughout the space were equally creative—showcasing the duality and versatility of their pieces in imaginative ways.
One standout moment? 🌿 Seeing reclaimed wood repurposed into room dividers, hung horizontally between spaces. The worn whitewashed finish and carved detail made each panel feel like a piece of art with purpose.
I had to share some photos from my visit —celebrating natural textures, heritage craft, and sustainable storytelling. Grateful to have discovered such a gem in the design world.
